Support

One person builds Kept, and that person answers the mail. Write about anything — a bug, a wrong answer, a feature, or a question about what the app does with your data.

Before you write

If you're reporting something that went wrong, these three things usually solve it in one round instead of four:

Please don't paste anything private into the email. Kept keeps your thread on your phone, and we'd rather it stayed there — a description of the problem is enough.

What Kept needs to run

An iPhone 15 Pro or later, on iOS 27, with Apple Intelligence turned on. Kept's thinking is done by Apple's on-device model, which those devices provide; on an older iPhone the app can't work, which is why the App Store won't offer it there.

Common questions

Kept is asking for my calendar, contacts or Health. Do I have to say yes?

No. Every permission is optional and Kept works without any of them — you'll just be telling it things it could otherwise have worked out. You can change your mind at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security, or in Settings → Kept. Nothing read from those frameworks is uploaded to us, and none of it is ever put into a search request.

How do I see or change what Kept thinks it knows about me?

Open the menu at the bottom left and go to Context. Every fact is listed with the evidence behind it. You can correct a fact, delete it, or decide whether it may ever be included in a search.

How do I delete my data?

In the app: menu → Settings. Delete my data removes the thread, your context and everything Kept has stored on the device, and clears the copy in your iCloud if you turned the mirror on. Delete account does that and also revokes Kept's Sign in with Apple token. Deleting the app removes its local data with it. None of this needs to go through us, because we hold nothing to delete.

An answer was wrong.

It happens — Kept runs on language models and they make mistakes, sometimes confidently. Reports genuinely help: send the question and the wrong answer and it can usually be traced. Don't rely on Kept for medical, legal, financial or safety-critical decisions.

A price or a table wasn't really available.

Kept shows what providers report at the moment it asks, and availability moves fast. The booking itself is always between you and the provider — the airline, the hotel, Expedia, Resy, OpenTable — so cancellations, changes and refunds go through them, under their terms.

Something is stuck, slow, or came back empty.

Searches run on a small server and are rate limited; when it can't be reached, Kept falls back to answering from the phone and says so in a line. If it keeps happening, write — include roughly when it was, and it can be matched against the rate limits.

I'd like to request a feature.

Please do. Say what you were trying to get done rather than how you think it should work — that's the more useful half.

Reporting a security or privacy problem

Mail the same address with "security" in the subject and as much detail as you can give. You'll get an acknowledgement within two business days, and credit if you'd like it. Please don't test against other people's data.

The rest

Privacy explains exactly what stays on the phone and what leaves it. Terms covers what Kept does and does not promise.
